Along the road (A58) - noise barrier homes in Weihoek Roosendaal 'WaterMusic'


Scattered along the water side are single family houses. The ground floor of the houses is below street level and just above the water in the retention lake. The lake has an ecological function in the whole water system for this town quarter. Natural vegetation gives this location a very nice atmosphere.
	This picture gives a more detailed view of the houses along the lake and the relation between the living rooms and the water. Big doors can be opened that lead to a wood terrace above the water.
	The noise barrier along the motorway A58 has to be 11 meters high. The combination with residential housing is a good example of maximal land use and efficient building cost. The rhytm of the houses is like music. The different colors give a nice tune.
	Here a more detailed view of the relation between the different houses can be seen. The living rooms are on the first floor because of privacy for the people. Big doors can be opened to let the sun into the houses.
